Max awoke that morning, somewhat personally offended with Oliver when he explained to him that Special Agent Nouveau was unattainable, he soon got over it with a maybe he’s right attitude, and kissed Tess goodbye that morning.

After all of that, I think now I am in a better position and better mind set than before,

Finally,

Finally something else to look forward to,

Resolve,

And then they leave my office, and life, for good.

I will be free to enjoy Paris, without them, and come back a smarter, more aware individual.

As Max drove, he couldn’t help but think about what Special Agent Nouveau would be wearing, and how she would be walking into the meeting, with her hair, perfectly positioned.

And who was she trying to impress?

If not him, with her scented, erotic perfume, and naively he thought that she would be wearing something special that morning, just for him.

He even thought about coming in late to the meeting,

So she would notice him first, and acknowledge her desire for him,

It didn’t exist, but in his mind, it did.

There is some certain fact to all of this,

If I am thinking about her,

Then she is thinking about me,

In every story, there is some accuracy, or inaccuracy, no matter what, I am sure of it.

And as he drove into the parking lot,

No Special Agent Nouveau,

Only Oliver, standing their patiently waiting for him,

And signaling him to hurry up and park, so they wouldn’t be late.

Fair enough, he thought,

I had my moment for today,

I will have to stay strong, for the most part, for myself,

Oliver can do the rest.

Morning! I see you made it, all put together and on time, I am impressed, Oliver replied,

Now, if we can make it through the meeting, or interview, whatever you want to call it,

I think somehow everything will clear, and we can all get back to our lives.

You know Max, I have known you for a long time,

Both personally, and professionally, and I always value that,

Before we walk in their today, again,

I want to know, have I expressed your feelings and opinion fairly?

Yes Oliver, and without further delay, we must make our entrance.

Hold on Max, I am not done,

Before we walk in their together,

Is there anything else you would like to tell me, that you may have not told me before?

There is one thing, that maybe could be brought up, and I wanted you to hear it from me, and not them Oliver.

I really don’t know how to tell you this,

And I feel bad keeping this from you, so long, but here it goes,

I cheated on Tess, with Colette Fyrst.

What? Oliver replied

Does Tess know?

I really don’t think she knows, and I would prefer you not say anything, the only reason I told you now, is because I think that they will bring it up, not me, them.

I understand Max, personal life and marriage is usually the first thing they look into and question, especially during such an investigation, you’re right for telling me Max,

I don’t think, hopefully, that they need to know that, or Tess, for that matter,

Let’s see what they bring up first.
